INTESOL Prague offers clean,
affordable and fully serviced facilities in
a number
of locations
throughout the city. We promise that we will
do our best to accommodate your housing preferences
indicated on the application form. In addition, we
regularly monitor the standard of the accommodation
provided, and encourage your feedback at the
end of the course.
Standard
accommodation:
1. We offer you our "standard"
accommodation for the duration of the 4-week
TEFL course for only €370-€450 (approx. $445-540).
The price depends upon the standard of the
apartment you
choose. You will normally have different
apartments and prices from which to choose. The
sooner you apply for housing the wider the range
of
options
you will have.
On your application form, you will note
what type of accommodation, if any, you require.
Once you have been accepted to the TESOL / TEFL
course and you have paid your deposit, we
will immediately contact you regarding
housing preferences.
Based on your budget we will find you
the best housing available. You will receive
detailed information about your room and apartment,
and about whom
you will be sharing it with (although due to
our confidentiality policy no names will be
provided
unless both parties agree).
If on your application form you indicated you
do not require accommodation, but you change
your mind at a later date, we will provide
you with the best possible housing available
at the moment.
You will have your own private room in a clean,
comfortable apartment, shared with two or
three other students who are either completing
a TEFL
/ TESOL course or studying other educational
courses.
Each room has its own key. Bed linen
and towels are provided and changed weekly.
Throughout your stay, you will be attended
by a friendly English-speaking
landlady.
Most of these apartments are near our premises
(10 minutes away by tram or underground). The
apartments
are also very close to Prague's main
shopping and business district and near to the
center. There are plenty of reasonably priced
restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Prague's
trendy bars and restaurants are within walking
distance.
The area is well served by metro and
tram services.
We ensure accommodation is in safe
areas.
We take a completely personalized approach
and will be consulting with you so that your
preferences and needs are met. Sometimes female
students prefer
to share the apartment with other females only
- this is possible and can be arranged. The
same applies to people who would rather only
share an apartment with non-smokers.
Should you require a few extra nights at your
accommodation this should be possible at an
extra
cost per day. We will try to negotiate a good
price with the owners or real state agent for
you. You should be able to stay for as long as
the room is not needed by new students - at
which
point you will have to vacate the room. You will
know in advance when this will happen. Please
note that there are a limited number of available
rooms in these apartments.
We recommend you pay your deposit and secure accommodation
as soon as possible.
2. If your budget is limited,
we can offer you even cheaper accommodation
- some of the rooms in our flats have two beds
and the rooms themselves are big enough to accommodate
two people. The price is just €190 (approx. $230)
per person per month. We are able to offer you
this option if you are taking the course with
a friend or we have another person who wants to
share a room.
Characteristics and services outlined for option
1 also apply to this and other options.

Please note that accommodation is not included
in course fees.
Feel free to contact
us for more information.
Non-standard
accommodation:
3. There are plenty of pensions
and private high-standard apartments in
Prague. The starting monthly price tends to be
€550 (approx. $660) per room per person. You will
normally be sharing the apartment with another
person. The apartments are carefully chosen and
are clean, comfortable and of a higher standard
than our regular apartments. The photos on the
side correspond to this option.
4. You can also stay in a hostel for a reasonable
price. The starting price is €350 (approx. $420)
per month per person in a shared room for two.
Hostels are clean, open 24 hours a day and include
all services. Breakfast is included in the price.
The majority of the hostels offer lower prices
for rooms which are shared by three, four people
and even lower prices if you prefer to use dormitories,
which we wouldn't recommend as you will need some
degree of comfort on an intensive course like
this. If this is your preferred option we will
be dealing with you personally to make sure your
needs are accommodated.
5. Should you wish for more
luxurious up-town accommodation, with a quieter
and more sophisticated ambience in Prague, this
can be arranged, in a pension or a hotel, albeit
at extra cost.
6. Should you prefer a family
stay or hotel this can also be arranged. We
offer completely
personalized attention and will do our best to
accommodate your needs.
7. If you are already planning
to stay in Prague for a longer period - at least
one year, we can find you a furnished flat,
that would cost much less compared to the previous
options, since you would be able to sign a long
term lease - about €200-300 (approx. $240-360)
per month for a shared flat with two or three
people
and about €350-450 (approx. $420-540) for a studio
or one-bedroom apartment.
8. After the TEFL / TESOL
course, we will do our best to help you find
accommodation
in Prague. We will provide you with a comprehensive
list of contact details for real state agents,
hostels, hotels and private bedrooms in shared
apartments. In the unlikely case you cannot
find
anything suitable we will continue looking for
you and let you know of opportunities via e-mail
or telephone.

Please note that accommodation is not included
in course fees.
Regardless of what option you choose you will
have our support throughout the process. Your
well-being during and after the course is very
important for us.
Living in a foreign country, in a different culture
while
on an intensive course can sometimes be intimidating.
Our commitment is to make you feel as comfortable
as possible. People who choose one of the
housing options tend to feel much more content
than those who do not.
